Night shift is tough, lighting up the work area properly makes it easier on the equipment operator and others who might be in the area as seeing clearly reduces the incidence of accidents. 

We are all getting older, and as such lighting is growing in importance with each passing day. It is a fact that when proper lighting is applied, less eye strain is the result which translates to more energy for those working. 

Changing lights on equipment or facilities is expensive. Perhaps the equipment will need to be shut down, maintenance personnel dispatched, warehouse staff locating and assigning new lights, then there is the time to remove and replace the deficient light, perhaps fall protection will be needed which will amplify the costs due to the time it takes to don the gear and then climb up to the light, and much more. Why not just buy a quality light? 

Seeing well allows machine operators to work at normal speeds as opposed to having to slow down based on inferior lighting. Just watch productivity levels on late afternoon shifts or night shifts.
